Winter season is harsh for vehicles. In this season the roads become covered with snow & ice. Therefore the driver faces difficulty in driving. So it is suggested to use winter tires during this period. These tires produce better traction on the snowy road surface. The tire pressure generally fluctuates due to change in surrounding temperature. We must check the tire pressure and tread depth regularly. Battery capacity decreases significantly in cold weather. We should check the condition of the battery by an automotive technician.

Information given in this article is really helpful to winterize a vehicle. Fluctuation in surrounding temperature could affects the tire pressure of the vehicle. S, tire pressure should be inspected at a regular interval and if necessary should be properly inflated. Apart from this, use of thinner lubricant is really essential for effective lubrication. Winter has many adverse effects on vehicles. During winter, oil and all other fluids become thicker as their viscosity increases due to excess cold. Therefore it is advised to use comparatively thinner oil and other fluids. Battery is affected the most during winter. So,it is suggested to conduct volt test on batteries to check it’s condition and if it is found to be weaker than the normal then replacement of the weaker battery is essential. In place of ordinary tires we must use snow tires for our vehicle which provide better grip on snowy road.

Therefore it is suggested to use snow tires in vehicles which are able to provide better grip on the snow covered road. In addition to this, tread depth of the tires must be measured and if it is found to be lower than 2/32 inch, then the tires need to be replaced. For replacement of car tires, you may refer to:
